Construction Industry Skills Council (CISC) organized a meeting on “RPL Assessment in collaboration with Sudokkho, BTEB and Other stakeholders” on 25th October 2018. Sudokkho has been providing financial and technical support to CISC in this regard. The objectives of the workshop was to RPL assessment.
Mr. S. M. Shahjahan, the Deputy Director of BTEB facilitated the meeting. Sk Abdul Mannan, B. M. Mofizur Rahman, Engr. Md. Asaduzzaman, Md. Mohasin participated in the meeting from CISC. Mr. Kabir Ahmed, SM Jahangir Alam, TareqeAziz and Rutab Karim represented Sudokkho in the meeting.
Mr. Tareqe Aziz coordinator of SUDOKKHO, inaugurated the meeting by introducing everyone and delivering his short speech. He also requested to CEO of CISC for given his valuable speech for representing CISC.
SkabdulMannan, CEO of CISC speech on CISC role & function, CISC activities. He added that CISC is developing Competency Standards, Curricula, Competency Based Learning Materials (CBLM), Competency Skills Log Book (CSLB), Accreditation Documents for skills training. CISC identify and assess capacity of private training providers to be RTO, developing assessors and trainers.
Engr. Md. Assaduzzaman, Assessment and Certification Executive of CISC made his presentation on methodology of RPL assessment. He also described steps and procedures of RPL assessment.
Mr. S. M. Shahjahan, the Deputy Director of BTEB added that Skills development in the construction sector forms part of a bigger picture of skills development across the whole economy. He suggested all of the stakeholders to make institutions RTO and follow the procedure of RPL assessment.
